Symphony of Life – Rainforest Soundscape
The Wild Voices of the Rainforest
An immersive rainforest soundscape, recorded by Gudrun Silvestre in San Martín, Peru
When the rainforest truly comes alive, it doesn’t whisper – it sings. Frogs call from the water’s edge, birds answer each other through the trees, insects weave a shimmering texture into the air, and fish splash in the pond.
Symphony of Life captures the wild, mysterious side of the Peruvian Amazon region: rich, dense and full of energy, yet never harsh. The most piercing moments have been carefully trimmed, so you can let the atmosphere carry you without being startled.
The story behind the sound
The recordings were made at different times of day at the same small pond, from a hut hidden in the reeds. Gudrun Silvestre carefully selected, cleaned and blended them into a journey through the liveliest hours of the rainforest: morning, afternoon and dusk.
